FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
UK’s First Wellbeing Hub for Diverse Youth & Families to Open in Edmonton Green

Edmonton Green, London – August 2025
Edmonton, a community deeply affected by youth violence and social inequality, is set to benefit from a groundbreaking new initiative. 21K Digital Media proudly announces the launch of its flagship project, Right2Thrive UK, and its pioneering Wellbeing Hub—the first of its kind in the UK.
The hub will officially open on Saturday, 6th September 2025, at 37/38 North Square, Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, London N9 0HY, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Registration for the event is free—attendees can secure their place via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1570738734839?aff=oddtdtcreator.
A New Approach to Tackling Youth Violence and Inequality
Right2Thrive UK has been created to address the root causes of youth violence and unemployment, particularly in areas like Enfield, where 13,095 residents are unemployed, including 1,980 young people aged 18–24. Rising mental health challenges are also a growing concern, with over 900,000 Londoners unable to work due to long-term health conditions.
The hub offers a holistic and culturally inclusive approach to these issues by combining mental health support, career coaching, creative workshops, and AI-driven career tools. Participants will receive tailored, one-to-one assistance to rebuild confidence, develop skills, and secure meaningful employment.
This transformative project has been made possible thanks to funding from the Awards For All National Lottery, highlighting the importance of community support in addressing these challenges.
Innovative Hybrid Support
The Right2Thrive UK Wellbeing Hub offers both in-person and digital services to meet the diverse needs of young people and families:
- On-Site Activities: Workshops, peer mentoring, and individual wellbeing sessions designed to help participants address challenges such as anxiety, depression, and social isolation.
- Digital Platform: Secure online tools and resources for remote access to mental health support and career development.
- Family-Centred Approach: Services designed to engage families, creating a nurturing environment for long-term resilience and growth.
Meet the Founder: Colin Lee-Own
Colin Lee-Own, founder of Right2Thrive UK and leader of 21K Digital Media, has over 30 years of experience working on community-led projects in London’s most deprived boroughs.
- Colin began his career with the Holloway Youth Project in the 1980s, following the Brixton riots, which exposed systemic inequalities.
- In 1994, he founded AD2000 Productions in Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, helping 300 young people gain qualifications, further education, or employment.
- After the tragic death of Julio Gomes in 2019, Colin personally funded the transformation of a derelict Edmonton building into the Right2Thrive Wellbeing Hub.
Colin continues to collaborate with Beryl Little, former Head of Education and Regeneration, alongside partners like North London Garage and Action for Race Equality, to expand opportunities for young people.
